The purpose of this study is to analyze the labor market in the regions of Odesa and Mykolaiv with a focus on internally displaced persons and returnees, and to assess the impact of gender differences and possible discrimination on employment and working conditions.
Study coverage: Odesa region (Odesa; Izmail; Bolhrad; Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi), Mykolaiv region (Mykolaiv; Bashtanka; Pervomaisk; Voznesensk).

The research was created to:
1. To study the situation of internally displaced persons and returnees:
● analysis of the problems and opportunities of IDPs and returnees in finding a job;
● their needs for support and adaptation in terms of employment and self-sufficiency in the new place of residence.

2. Analysis of discriminatory practices in employment:
● studying possible manifestations of discrimination based on age, gender and other characteristics when hiring
employees;
● Identification of ways to prevent them.
3. Compare the levels of supply/demand for formal and informal employment.
4. Examine working conditions and gender equality and inclusion in the labor market.
Identify areas with labor shortages, in-demand skills, and those that have lost their relevance in the labor sphere. The impact of external factors on the employment of both workers and job seekers is analyzed.
Recommendations for the authorities, educational institutions and other stakeholders on possible measures to improve the situation on the labor market in the regions of Odesa and Mykolaiv.
