Created to protect human rights

Since 2012, NGO “THE TENTH OF APRIL” has been protecting the rights of vulnerable groups of people. Responding to the challenges of an unstable world, NGO “THE TENTH OF APRIL” protects the rights of vulnerable groups in 9 regions of Ukraine - more than 450 specialists provide comprehensive assistance and support to internally displaced persons and war-affected populations, refugees and asylum seekers, stateless persons and those at risk of statelessness, communities and communities and all those who are unable to do so on their own.

Why "The Tenth of April"?

This is the date of birth of Hugo Grotius (1583-1645), a prominent Dutch political thinker, lawyer, philosopher, historian, humanist and ‘father of international law’. Hugo Grotius was himself a refugee from his native Netherlands for a long time, and in his great work On the Law of War and Peace (1625) he emphasised the right of asylum seekers, i.e. those who suffer from undeserved enmity, to have permanent residence.

Therefore, NGO “The Tenth of April” continues the great work of Grotius. We try to help to ensure that  laws and international obligations of Ukraine are implemented and improved
